Remote and on-site

Remote IT Support and Managed Security

Full support for businesses anywhere in the US, with on-site help across the Denver metro when something physical needs doing.

The short answer

Tecnico Desk supports businesses remotely across the United States and on site across the Denver metro. Nearly all day-to-day IT and effectively all security work happens remotely: identity and access, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, email authentication, device management, backups, monitoring, and onboarding and offboarding. Physical work is what needs hands, and we are clear about which is which.

What we handle remotely

This is not a reduced version of the service. It is the service, delivered without waiting for someone to drive over.

Day-to-day support

  • Help desk for your whole team, on the tools they actually use
  • New hire setup: accounts, mailbox, groups, MFA, and app access
  • Offboarding that revokes access immediately, wherever the person is
  • Device setup, patching, and configuration, including shipped-preconfigured laptops
  • Vendor and ISP coordination so you are not the go-between

Security work

  • Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace hardening and admin review
  • Identity, MFA, and conditional access where licensed
  • Email authentication with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC
  • Monitoring, alerting, and monthly reporting you can show a client or insurer
  • Backup configuration and tested recovery

How we keep remote access secure

Handing an outside provider remote access to your environment is a real risk, and it is the part most providers skip over in the sales conversation. Attacks on managed service providers exist precisely because that access is valuable. Here is how ours is set up.

  • Multi-factor authentication on every engineer account that can reach your systems
  • Named, least-privilege accounts rather than a shared login the whole team uses
  • No standing administrator access left open when it is not being used
  • Session logging, so there is a record of who connected to what and when
  • Immediate revocation when someone leaves our team, on the same terms we apply to yours

If you are evaluating any remote provider, these are fair questions to ask them. See our trust and privacy commitments for how we handle client data more broadly.

When someone needs to be there

Being straight about the limits is more useful than claiming everything works remotely. Physical work needs hands: a failed switch or firewall, structured cabling, a server or office move, or collecting a laptop from a departing employee who will not send it back.

Denver metro

We come to you

On-site support across Denver, Aurora, Lakewood, Westminster, Thornton, Centennial, Boulder, and Broomfield. See managed IT services in Denver.

Everywhere else

We coordinate local hands

For the occasional physical job outside Colorado we arrange a local technician and stay on the call, so you are not managing a stranger yourself.

Who this fits

Remote-first works particularly well for distributed teams, firms with more than one office, and businesses outside Colorado that want a security-first partner rather than the nearest available provider. It works less well if most of your systems are physical and on premises, and we will tell you that on the call rather than after you sign.

The delivery model does not change the services. Tecnico Manage covers day-to-day IT support, Tecnico Defend covers managed security, and Tecnico Ready is the one-time review most engagements start with. FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you support businesses outside Colorado?

Yes. Remote support is available nationwide. Everything that does not require physically touching hardware is handled remotely, which is the large majority of day-to-day IT and all of the security work. On-site visits are available across the Denver metro.

How fast do you respond to a remote request?

Response targets are agreed in your service description rather than promised generically here, because they depend on the plan and the severity. What matters more in practice is that a request reaches a senior engineer rather than a tier-1 queue, and that account lockouts and suspected compromise are treated as urgent.

Is remote access to our systems secure?

That is the part most providers gloss over. Access is through a managed tool with multi-factor authentication, least-privilege accounts rather than shared logins, and session logging so there is a record of who connected to what and when. We do not keep standing administrator access sitting open when it is not in use.

What still needs someone on site?

Physical work: a failed switch or firewall, structured cabling, a server move, an office fit-out, or hands-on device collection during an offboarding. For Denver-metro clients we come out. For clients elsewhere we coordinate with a local pair of hands and stay on the call.

Can remote support handle new employee setup?

Yes. Accounts, mailbox, security groups, MFA enrolment, and application access are all configured remotely, and devices can be shipped preconfigured so a new hire signs in and is ready. Offboarding works the same way: access is revoked immediately regardless of where the person or the laptop is.
